BOSTON - The Northeastern men's soccer team (3-4-1) returns to non-conference play as they travel south to Providence, R.I. this Tuesday evening to face the Brown University Bears (4-2-1) on ESPN+.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- BREAKING THE BEARS: Brown comes into this matchup unbeaten at home with a 3-0-0 record - the Huskies have grabbed two road wins so far this season against CAA opponents, but have yet to secure one against a non-conference foe.
- TALE OF THE TAPE: Both teams boast stingy defense, with the Huskies allowing just 1.4 goals per game, and Brown allowing just 1.14 - alternatively, their offenses score 1.33 and 1.41 goals per game, respectively.Â
- LONG TIME COMING: The Huskies won the 2021 matchup between these two teams by a score of 4-0 at Parsons Field. It was the first match between the two programs since 2016 and just the fourth all-time, with the Huskies picking up their first win in the series.
Northeastern returns home this Saturday, October 8 at 4pm as they host CAA newcomers Monmouth at Parsons Field. That game will be streamed on FloFC.
