GREENSBORO, N.C. – Led by a strong defensive performance, the Northeastern volleyball team (11-10, 8-4 CAA) took down North Carolina A&T (9-15, 5-9 CAA) in three sets on Monday afternoon at Moore Gymnasium. With the win, the Huskies completed the weekend sweep over the Aggies.

The Huskies were stellar at the net, tallying 11 total team blocks compared to four by North Carolina A&T.

Marika Virthe paced the Huskies defense with eight blocks, and on offense senior outside hitter
Erica Staunton had a team-high nine kills.

- Virthe also had six kills and two digs.
- Senior libero Kayla Martin had a team-high 13 digs.
- Staunton also tallied six digs and four blocks.
- Senior middle blocker Nailah Jenkins notched six kills, an ace, four digs, and three blocks.
- Junior outside hitter Defne Arliel chipped in with seven kills, three aces, seven digs, and three blocks.
- Graduate student outside hitter Laura Seeger had seven kills and four digs.
- Sophomore setter Jessica Frannea picked up her sixth double-double of the season with 28 assists and 12 digs.
- The Huskies outhit North Carolina A&T .297 to .058.
The Huskies will head to Hempstead, New York to face Hofstra on Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6. First serve is slated for 1 pm on both days, and can be watched on
