Men Finish Second, Women Finish Third at New England Championships

BOSTON – The Northeastern cross country program had the men finish second in the 8K and the women place third in the 5K event at the New England Cross Country Championships today at Franklin Park. The men and women both had four top-25 finishers.

Women

Nicole Dunbury led the way for the women with a 13th place finish and a time of 18:47.
Following close behind, Nora Blodgett (18:50), Shannon Trevor (18:55, career-best), and Anna Schaller (18:57), finished in 16th, 22nd, and 24th respectively.
Rounding it out for Northeastern was Madison Neuner with a finish at 19:18, followed by Silas Rutherford at 19:24 and Lucinda Shotts at 20:06.
Lucy Abdow finished sixth at 19:18 and Sarah Petersen finished 19th at 19:58 in the women's sub-varsity race.

Men

Leading the way for the men was Dylan Manning, finishing in 11th with a career-best 8K time of 25:06.
Nicholas Young crossed the finish line in 15th with a time of 25:19, while Tyler Brogan came in 19th with a career-best time of 25:22.
Malav Mehta came in at 25:28 and in 23rd, while Cyrus Kurd (25:56) and and Noah Mooney (25:58) finished side by side in 40th and 41st.
