HOPKINTON, N.H. - The Northeastern cross country team finished their season at the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regionals, where the men took 17th place for the second season in a row, and the women took 23rd place. The highest placing Husky was sophomore
Nico Boyle, placing 35th and crossing the finish line at 30:21.08.
MEN
- The men's team earned 435 points to finish 17th again, out of the 38 competing teams, and three Huskies finished inside the top 100.
- Boyle earned a top 50 finish, coming in 35th place with a time of 30:21.08.
- Freshman Dawson French was the next runner to cross the line, earning 68th place and recording a 30:50.2 time.
- Following French was junior Ryan Sarney (31:09.5) who closed out the top 100 for the Huskies, coming in at 98th place.
- Junior Ryan Gruzcka finished the Northeast Regional race in 120th place and with a 31:28.1 mark.
- Sophomore Timothy Rank (32:03.07) rounded out the Northeastern top five with a top 170 finish and freshman Owen Blaisdell (32:11.04) were the final runners to finish for the Huskies.
WOMEN
- The Northeastern women's cross country team concluded the meet with a score of 698 to finish 23rd out of 37 competing teams.
- Sophomore Emily Wickard led the way for the Huskies, finishing at 21:42.01 and in 111th place.
- The next Husky to cross the finish line was sophomore Ella Dunbury. Dunbury finished in 127th place with a time of 21:50.6.
- The only freshman to compete for the Huskies, Kirsten Melnik finished the race at 22:04.1, and in 145th place.
- Senior Shannon Trevor (22:17.0) placed 157th, sophomore Anna Lonergan (22:25.9) placed 168th, and senior Lauren Trejo (22:38.3) placing 181st finished out Northeastern's top six.
