No. 15 Huskies Prepped For Eagles

BOSTON — The No. 15 Northeastern men's hockey team is set for a home-and-home series with the Boston College Eagles beginning on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Matthews Arena. The Huskies will then travel to the Eagles at Conte Forum on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. IF YOU'RE NOT FIRST, YOU'RE LAST: Five Huskies recorded either their career or season firsts in their weekend with the Wildcats. On Friday evening, sophomore Justin Hryckowian scored his first career hat trick, while sophomore Cam Gaudette recorded his first career point and freshman Jackson Dorrington got his first career start for the Huskies. Senior Jeremie Bucheler potted his first goal of the season Friday night, while both senior Alex Mella and junior James Davenport laced up for their first games of the 2022-23 season.
  2. MASTER LEVI: As the Northeastern Huskies fought to a 3-0 shutout over the New Hampshire Wildcats last Saturday (Nov. 5), goaltender Devon Levi set a new program record for most career shutouts (12). In picking up his sixth win of the 2022-23 season, Levi's record sits as the third most career shutouts among active players in the NCAA, just behind Blake Pietilla (Michigan Tech) and Yaniv Perets (Quinnipiac) who are tied with 13.
  3. DEFENSIVE WEAPON: Although not all stats are highlighted in the box score, freshman Hunter McDonald continues to battle and make his presence  known for Northeastern. While having skated in every game for the Huskies so far this season, McDonald has tallied four points, all on assists, including a career-high two assists in game two against the Maine Black Bears. In his debut season, McDonald currently leads the Hockey East conference in +/- with a +12 rating and is tied for first with teammate Jayden Struble in blocked shots (15).
