No. 8/7 Women’s Hockey Faces Crusaders

BOSTON— The No. 8/7 Northeastern women's hockey team will face the Holy Cross Crusaders for a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. in Matthews Arena. The Huskies will then hit the road to the Hart Center Rink on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Both games will stream live on ESPN+. 
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. KATY KNOLL IS ON A ROLL: Senior Katy Knoll is tied to lead the nation with 12 goals on the season. Knoll's 12 goals tie a career-high just 15 games into the season. The Amherset, N.Y. native has 19 points on the season, which ranks tied for the third-best mark in Hockey East and seventh overall in the NCAA.
  2. MURPHY'S LAW: Graduate student Maureen Murphy made her senior national team debut on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the Rivalry Series game between the U.S. and Canada. Murphy joined the roster that has Husky alums, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Aerin Frankel and Hayley Scamurra.
  3. ONE-EYED, ONE-HORNED, FLYING PURPLE PEOPLE EATER: The Crusaders enter this matchup on an 11-game winless streak. Holy Cross was most recently swept by Maine, 4-0 and then 4-1. Bryn Saarela leads the Crusaders with six points, while Alexia Moreau, the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Oct. 3, has a team-high four goals. Madison Beck and Brooke Loranger have split time in goal for Holy Cross this season.  Beck owns a 2.75 GAA and .918 save percentage, while Loranger has a 3.35 GAA and .900 save percentage.  
Northeastern will next head to Nashville for the Smashville Showcase, first facing No. 15 Princeton on Friday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.
