Gwyneth Philips of the No. 7 Northeastern women's hockey team was named Co-National Goaltender of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association for September and October as announced on Wednesday. This marks Philip's first monthly honor from the HCA and she shares the honor with Clarkson's Michelle Pasiechnyk.

The anchor of the Husky defense, Philips owned an 8-1-1 record during September and October. Her eight wins lead all goaltenders nationally.

The Athens, Ohio native posted an .81 goals against average and .961 save percentage through September and October, both tops among Hockey East goaltenders.

Philips and the Huskies are back in action with a home-and-home series against New Hampshire beginning on Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Whittemore Center.
