BOSTON— Freshman Vivian Akyirem and senior Alexis Legowski of the Northeastern women's soccer team were named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team.
 
Akyirem was a freshman sensation for the Huskies, tallying 13 goals and one assists for 27 points. The All-CAA First Team honoree, Akyirem posted the third-most points by a Husky rookie in program history and most since 2009. Akyirem was also named to the CAA All-Tournament team and finished tied for the league-lead with 13 goals.
 
A four-time All-CAA honoree, Legowski was named to the United Soccer Coaches Second Team after posting five goals and one assist for 11 points. Her five goals marked a career-high and she earned CAA All-Tournament team honors for the Huskies. Legowski anchored the Husky midfield and was second on the team among field players with 1656 minutes played.
 
Both student-athletes were instrumental in leading the Huskies to a second-straight appearance in the CAA Championship game and a 10-6-4 record overall.
