Vivian Akyirem and junior
Jessie Hunt of the Northeastern women's soccer team earned 2022 Division I Women's Soccer All-ECAC honors. Akyirem earned First Team honors, while Hunt was named to the Second Team.
Akyirem has now earned First Team All-CAA, United Soccer Coach All-East Region Second Team and CAA-All Tournament Team honors along with All-ECAC accolades. The freshman sensation posted 27 points off 13 goals and one assist for the Huskies. Her 13 goals tied to lead the CAA and she posted the third-most points by a Husky rookie in program history and most since 2009.
In her first season with the Huskies, Hunt posted 13 assists and one goal for 15 points. Her 13 assists are a program record and ranked tied for the fourth-best mark in the nation. The Edina, Minnesota native was also an All-CAA First Team selection.
The duo combined on seven goals for the Huskies. Both student-athletes were key pieces as Northeastern made a second-straight appearance in the CAA Championship game and earned a 10-6-4 record overall.
