BOSTON – Trailing 51-44 heading into the final quarter, the Northeastern women's basketball team (12-9, 6-5 CAA) battled back to lead by one (63-62) with 1:45 to go, but three quick points by first-place Delaware (17-5, 11-1 CAA), sent the Blue Hens to a 66-63 win over the Huskies on Friday night at the Cabot Center.

Senior guard
Kendall Currence paced Northeastern with 24 points, going 8-of-19 from the floor (3-of-6) from three. Freshman guard
Claudia Soriano also tallied double-digits with 18 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
- Delaware got off to a quick 11-4 lead in the first, but Northeastern responded right back. Three points by graduate student Emily Calabrese and a three-pointer by Currence knotted up the contest at 11 with 2:57 remaining.
- Northeastern took a 15-12 advantage with 55 seconds remaining after layups by Calabrese and sophomore guard Donna Ntambue, but Delaware notched a three-pointer at the buzzer to knot the game at 15.
- Both teams traded points for most of the second, with neither leading by more than three points. A Calabrese layup gave the Huskies a 26-23 lead at the 4:02 mark, but the Blue Hens quickly evened up the contest at 26. Each team notched a three-pointer in the final minute of the quarter leading to a tie score of 29 heading into halftime.
- Soriano tallied eight straight points to kick off the second half for the Huskies, giving the hosts a 37-32 lead at the 8:06 mark. The Blue Hens then proceeded to outscore Northeastern 19-7 in the quarter, and took a 51-44 lead into the fourth.
- The Blue Hens lead by as many as nine in the first five minutes of the final quarter, but the Huskies continued to chip away at the deficit. Back-to-back three-pointers by Currence and Soriano trimmed the Delaware lead to 60-57 with 4:09 to go.
- A jumper by Soriano and a layup by Ntambue gave the Huskies a 63-62 lead with 1:45 remaining, but three straight points by the visitors sealed the victory for the Blue Hens.
- Currence also notched three rebounds, two assists and three steals.
- Calabrese had nine points and seven rebounds.
- Ntambue notched seven points and seven rebounds.
- Northeastern tallied 28 points in the paint compared to Delaware's 14.
- The Blue Hens had 20 points compared to none for the Huskies.
