BOSTON – Senior guard
Katie May tallied a team-high 15 points, but it was not enough as Northeastern women's basketball (12-10, 6-6 CAA) fell to Drexel (19-3, 11-1 CAA) by a score of 61-46 on Sunday afternoon at the Cabot Center.

Kendall Currence also notched double-digits with 10 points, but overall, the Huskies struggled offensively in the contest, shooting 30.9% (17-of-55) and 33.3% from three (7-of-21).
- After being tied up at seven after five minutes of play, the Huskies went on a 8-0 run, highlighted by threes from freshman guard Claudia Soriano and May.
- Drexel then closed out the first on a 7-0 run, to trim the Huskies' lead to 15-14 going into the second.
- The Dragons dominated in the second, outscoring Northeastern 11-2. The Huskies shot 9.1% (one-of-11) as Drexel took a 25-17 lead into halftime.
- Drexel increased its lead to double-digits at the 7:44 mark of the third (29-19), and didn't look back.
- Free throws by Currence made it 35-25 with 3:36 remaining, but Drexel remained in control, taking a 42-26 lead into the fourth.
- The Huskies chipped away at the deficit in the final quarter, trailing 50-41 after seven straight points, five of which came from May. The senior tallied 10 of her points in the quarter, but it wasn't enough as the visitors held on for the win.
- Currence also tallied eight rebounds and an assist.
- Soriano chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.
- Freshman guard Camille Clement notched six points (two three-pointers).
- Drexel dominated in the paint, tallying 32 points to Northeastern's 12.
