Huskies Record a New School Record and Two Top 10 Times on Final Day of Competition at BU

BOSTON –
 The women's distance medley relay team, comprised of sophomores Ava Duggan, Mariah Fede, Tessa McClain and senior Lucinda Shotts, broke the school record in the event with a time of 11:28.28 to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Saturday at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invite. 
  • Freshman Reed Cherry won the men's 800 meter with the second-best indoor time in Northeastern history (1:48.44, PB).
  • Senior Matthew Schaefer ran the fourth-best indoor time in program history in the men's 5,000 meters (14:09.07, PB).
  • Graduate student Donatien Djero placed third in the men's 60-meter invite with a time of 6.85.
  • Junior Malav Mehta finished eighth in the men's 5,000 meters unseeded event with a personal record of 14:44.77.
  • In the men's 1,000 meters, junior Anders Narita finished 19th with a career-best time of 2:28.44 and sophomore James Pothier finished in 21st place with a personal-best time of 2:28.71.
  • Junior Pierre Sylvain ran a personal-best time of 48.87 in the men's 400 meter.
  • Senior Alexander Korczynski finished 24th in the men's mile with a time of 4:01.62.
