WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior guard
Kendall Currence notched a team-high 19 points, but the Northeastern women's basketball team (12-11, 6-7 CAA) fell to William and Mary (9-15, 4-9 CAA), on Friday evening at Kaplan Arena.

Katie May (12 points) also tallied double-digits in the contest, but the Huskies struggled offensively in the game, shooting 38.2% (21-of-55) and 21.7% from three (5-of-23).
- Northeastern kicked off the game leading 3-0 after a layup by Ntambue and a free throw by Currence, but the Tribe responded back with five straight points.
- After being knotted up at five, the hosts went on a 7-0 run, and led 11-5 at the 4:25 mark.
- Six straight points towards the end of the first by the Huskies trimmed the deficit to 16-15 with 53 seconds remaining, but the Tribe took a 19-16 lead into the second.
- After a quick jump shot by freshman forward Asha Parker to cut William & Mary's advantage to 21-19, the hosts exploded for 23 points in the quarter, and took a 44-32 lead into halftime.
- The Tribe continued to lead by double-digits to start the second half, until Northeastern went on a 7-0 run in the last two minutes of the third, highlighted by a three-pointer from May to trim the hosts' lead to 51-46. The Tribe then responded back with six straight points to take a 57-46 advantage into the fourth.
- William & Mary continued to hold a commanding lead throughout the final quarter. The Huskies notched six straight points to cut deficit 65-57 at the 5:18 mark, but it was not enough as the Tribe held on for the remaining five minutes to seal the win.
- Currence also had six rebounds, an assist and a steal.
- Graduate student forward Emily Calabrese chipped in with five points, five rebounds and three assists.
- The Tribe held freshman guard Claudia Soriano to five points.
The Huskies will face Elon on Sunday, February 20. Tip-off from the Schar Center is slated for 1 pm, and can be watched on FloHoops.
