Cherry, Klinge Record NU Top 10 Performances at the New England and ECAC/IC4A Championships

BOSTON –
 Reed Cherry placed second in the men's 800 meters with the fifth-best outdoor time in school history (1:50.04) and Abigail Klinge finished fourth in the women's discus throw with the fifth-best mark in program history (46.11m/151-3, PB) to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Saturday at the New England Championships and the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
 
New England Championships
  • Dominique Biron won the heptathlon with a score of 5,430 points. She won the 800 meters (2:23.19), long jump (5.59m/18-4.25) and the javelin throw (35.61m/116-10).
  • Madison Neuner finished sixth in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase (11:14.42).
 
ECAC/IC4A Championships
  • Alexander Korczynski championed the men's 1,500 meters with the seventh-best outdoor time in NU history (3:45.10, PB).
  • In the men's 800 meters, Tyler Brogan placed fourth (1:50.63, PB) and Nicholas Young finished fifth (1:50.67, PB).
  • Azza Borovicka-Swanson finished fifth in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase with the fourth-best time in program history (10:37.83, PB).
  • In the men's 110-meter hurdles preliminary round, Ethan Exilhomme (14.14) and Mayowa Osunsami (14.38) ran qualifying times for the finals.
  • Abigail Hassman placed fourth in the women's 5,000 meters (16:51.61).
