NEWARK, Del. – In game one of the three-game weekend set, Northeastern baseball (27-26-1, 9-13 CAA) lost to Delaware (24-25, 7-14 CAA) by a score of 4-0 on Thursday evening at Bob Hannah Stadium.

- The Blue Hens took an early lead with a run scored in the first on a ground-out RBI.
- Delaware extended its lead in the third with an unearned run scoring on an infield single.
- The Huskies had lead-off hitters on in the second, fourth, fifth, and eighth innings, but were unable to capitalize on the early baserunner.
- Two RBI singles in the sixth inning extended Delaware's lead to 4-0.
- Northeastern starter Wyatt Scotti (L, 7-3) made his return to the starting rotation and went 4.0 inning, allowing four hits and two runs (only one earned) and one walk, while striking out three.
- In his first relief appearance, Sebastian Keane took over in the fifth and went 2.0 innings, allowing five hits and two runs, striking out one.
- Freshman Brett Dunham made his second appearance in a row, going 2.0 innings allowing no hits, runs, or walks, and striking out one batter.Â
