ALBANY, N.Y. - The Northeastern field hockey team dropped their season opening contest in Albany, N.Y., to No. 22 Ohio State, 4-0.
The Buckeyes got on the board late in the first quarter to take a 1-0 lead that stretched into the halftime break. After two goals in the third and another in the fourth, Ohio State cemented the 4-0 result.
Graduate transfer Jonna Kennedy showed up in her debut with the Huskies, tying the most saves in a single game for Northeastern since 2013 with 17.
Mak Graves tallied two shots on goal, while freshman Emilia Adragna posted one.
Ava Tello played a full 60 minutes in her first game with the Huskies, while Cailin Hart and Maria Armaganian joined her.
Northeastern will be back in action tomorrow, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m., to take on UAlbany at Alumni Field in Albany, N.Y.. The game will be streaming on AE.TV.
