BOSTON – The Northeastern men's soccer program continues its 2022 campaign with a trip to Newton to face the Boston College Eagles on Monday night at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACCNetwork Extra.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- The Next One: The Huskies opened up the 2022 season with a 1-1 draw at home to UMass. It was the second straight season the two teams drew with a 1-1 score to open the season. Timothy Ennin had the first goal of the game in the 65th minute, assisted by transfer Tobias Wangerud in his Northeastern debut, and returner Ryan Massoud.
- Preseason Honors: The Huskies were picked to finish fourth in the 2022 CAA Preseason poll, behind Hofstra, UNCW, and Elon. Two Huskies, Timothy Ennin and Federico Tellez, were both named to the All-CAA Preseason team.
- Monday Night Rivalry: The Huskies will face the Eagles for the second straight season - a late Eren Senyuva Sportscenter-worthy goal was not enough to propel the Huskies back from an 0-2 deficit last October. This will be the fourth meeting of the two since 2012, with BC owning a 2-1-0 record in the previous three.
After its trip to the Heights, Northeastern begins CAA play with a road trip to Elon next weekend – that game will take place Saturday, September 3
rd at 6 p.m. on FloFC.
