Marchesseault, Shriners Children’s Celebrate 100 Years

BOSTON -- As Shriners Children's celebrates its 100th anniversary on Friday September 16, "Miracles, Magic and Milestones," a national television special celebrating the 100th anniversary of Shriners Children's begins airing this Friday September 16. To watch this exciting program in the Greater Boston area, tune in to WCVB Channel 5 at 1:30 PM on Sunday September 18.  The program will also be available on Hulu.
 
You can catch Shriners Children's Boston patient and National Patient Ambassador Katherine Marchesseault in the promo for the show on the Shriners Children's website: Disney Helps Shriners Children's Celebrate 100 Years. Katherine is one of the Shriners Children's patients featured in the special and is a sophomore on the women's soccer team at Northeastern.

Katherine and Chief of Staff Dr. Robert Sheridan will also be featured on a Good Morning America segment scheduled for September 16. The segment was filmed in Boston earlier this month and it is anticipated that it will air between 8:30 – 9 a.m. on Friday.

Produced in collaboration with Disney and ABC, this 30-minute special highlights the history of our premier pediatric healthcare organization and the amazing specialty care we provide.  Hosted by actress Kristen Bell, the show includes appearances by Derek Hough (Dancing with the Stars), Jay Bilas (ESPN), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) as well as a special appearance by Shriners Children's own celebrity spokespatient Alec. It will air on ABC stations nationwide and be available on the streaming service Hulu.
    
Katherine and the Huskies are next in action to open conference play at Elon on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Northeastern is back in action at Parsons Field on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. against Stony Brook for its Mental Health Awareness game.
