DEDHAM, Mass. - The Northeastern field hockey team (1-6, 0-0 CAA) was edged by No. 14 Harvard (4-2, 0-0 Ivy League) under lights at Dedham Field tonight, 2-0.
-
After a scoreless first half, the Crimson opened the scoring three minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead.
-
With just under five minutes remaining, Harvard intercepted a pass and converted a one-on-one with the goaltender to push it to a 2-0 lead and cement the result.
-
After not getting off a shot or a penalty corner attempt in the first three quarters, the Huskies felt the urgency and tallied four shots and three penalty corners in the final frame but were unable to find the back of the net.
Northeastern will take the field again next Sunday, Sep. 25, at 12 p.m., for a matchup with Vermont. The game will be broadcast on NESN+.
