DEDHAM, Mass – The Northeastern field hockey team (1-7, 0-0 CAA) dropped a closely contested game to Vermont (8-1, 3-0 America East) today, 2-0. 

• After a scoreless first quarter, the Catamounts got on the board with 5:46 left in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break. 

• With the game winding down, Northeastern pulled goaltender Jonna Kennedy with just under two minutes. Vermont would get a penalty corner opportunity and convert on the open net to cement the 2-0 result. 

• Northeastern and Vermont both had three shots on goal, and the Huskies held a 4-3 edge in penalty corner attempts. 

Northeastern will travel to Hofstra to open CAA play next Friday, Sep. 30 at 3 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloLive.
