BOSTON—The Northeastern women's soccer team is set to open its CAA slate at Elon and Towson this Thursday and Sunday, respectively. The Huskies will face the Phoenix on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. and the Tigers on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. Both games are set to stream on FloFC.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Lights, Camera, CAA-ction: The Huskies posted a 5-4-0 record in CAA play last season and made an appearance in the championship game, eventually falling to Hofstra, 2-1. On the road, Northeastern was 4-0-0 in conference action. Alexis Legowski and Rose Kaefer each scored two goals in conference games during the 2021 season.
- Scouting The Phoenix: Northeastern owns a 4-2-2 record all-time against Elon, but the Phoenix won out 2-1 in the last meeting between the two squads. Elon is 4-2-2 on the season, and Abby Fusca leads the team with eight points on three goals and two assists.
- A Look Into Towson: The Huskies are 12-8-2 all-time against the Tigers, and are on a four-game winning streak against Towson. Northeastern's 12 wins are tied for the most victories over a single opponent in program history. The Tigers are 7-1-1 on the season and are riding a seven-game unbeaten streak, while boasting a 5-1 record at home.
Northeastern is back in action at Parsons Field on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. against Stony Brook for its Mental Health Awareness game.
