Huskies Return to Parsons to Host Stony Brook, Hofstra

BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team is set to host CAA foes Stony Brook and Hofstra at Parsons Field this coming weekend. The Huskies will host the Seawolves on Thursday, Sept. 29 for their Mental Health Awareness game at 6 p.m., Northeastern will then host the Pride on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.

Northeastern's matchup against Stony Brook will be available on NESN+ and FloFC. A fan bus will leave from Forsyth Street at 5:30 p.m. ahead of the match. The Hofstra match will be available to stream on FloFC.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. STAM(P) OF APPROVAL: Graduate student goalkeeper Holland Stam has posted five shutouts this season for the Huskies. Stam is averaging 6.20 saves per game, the 14th best mark in the country, and has a .838 save percentage on the season. Stam's career-high in saves is nine, which she posted against UConn and Brown this season.
  2. A LOOK AT THE SEAWOLVES: Stony Brook and Northeastern will meet for the first time as CAA opponents on Thursday. Stony Brook joined the conference over the summer, but the two teams have meet 10 times previously, with Northeastern holding a 5-3-2 edge in the series.
  3. SCOUTING THE PRIDE: The reigning CAA Champion Hofstra Pride will face off against CAA newcomer Monmouth on Thursday before taking on the Huskies. Hofstra most recently dropped a game to William & Mary, 2-0. The Huskies lone common opponent with the Pride so far is Brown, who the Huskies tied 1-1 and Hofstra lost to, 3-0.
Northeastern will head back on the road to travel to William & Mary for a game on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
