BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (7-7, 2-1) is set to hit the road to take on North Carolina A&T (10-5, 4-0 CAA) on Friday, January 13 at 6 pm, and then Elon (4-11, 0-4 CAA) on Sunday, December 15 at 1 pm. Both games will be streamed on FloHoops.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT - The Huskies are coming off a big 92-51 victory over UNCW on Sunday. In the win, graduate student JaMiya Braxton tallied a team-high 16 points as Northeastern led by as much as 42 in the fourth quarter, and had 13 players make at least one field goal. The win was the largest margin of victory for the program against a CAA opponent.
- DOUBLE-TROUBLE – Junior Derin Erdogan has double-digit points in 11 of Northeastern's 14 games this season. Erdogan leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game, and most recently tallied 11 points in the win over UNCW.
- IN THE CAA RANKS – Erdogan ranks fifth in the CAA in field goal percentage (.441), and ninth in 3-point field goals per game. As a team, Northeastern ranks sixth in the conference in blocked shots (2.71) and third in steals with a total of 128, averaging 9.14 per game.
After the trip to North Carolina, the Huskies will hit the road again to face Hofstra on Sunday, January 22. Tip-off is slated for 2 pm.
