Greensboro, N.C. – The Northeastern women's basketball team (7-8, 2-2 CAA) rallied from down 15 with under seven minutes to go to force overtime, but host North Carolina A&T (11-5, 5-0 CAA) pulled away late in the extra frame for a 67-63 victory on Friday night.

Derin Erdogan tallied 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting, was 4-of-7 from three, and dished out seven assists to lead all scorers. Graduate student

Ariana Webb also tallied double-digits in the contest. Braxton had 19 points, which included five three-pointers. Webb notched 10 points and three rebounds.Â
- After the hosts opened the scoring with an early layup, the Huskies responded with a 7-0 run, highlighted by a three-pointer by Braxton.
- The first was all Northeastern, as the Huskies held the Aggies 1-of-18 from the field, and took an 11-4 lead into the second after a 4-0 run in the closing minutes of the quarter.
- North Carolina A&T's shooting got hot in the second, as the Aggies began the quarter on a 5-0 run to quickly trim Northeastern's lead to 11-9 at the 8:24 mark.
- Webb notched back-to-back buckets in the last few minutes, but the Aggies shot 50% (6-of-12) and 75% (3-of-4) in the frame, outscoring the Huskies 24-12 to take a 28-23 lead into halftime.
- The Aggies tallied five quick points to extend their advantage up to 33-23 in the third, and the hosts didn't look back. North Carolina A&T then ballooned its lead up to 14 (38-24) after a 5-0 run mid-way through the quarter.
- The Aggies continued to be strong on offense, finishing the quarter shooting 50% (8-of-16) and led 46-35 into the final stanza.
- The Huskies began to chip away in the fourth, as Northeastern notched an 8-0 run, highlighted by three-pointers by Braxton and Erdogan to trim the deficit to 50-43 with 5:27 to go.
- With 1:28 left, the Aggies missed a pair of free throws up 55-50, and Braxton quickly drained a three to cut the deficit to two with 1:11 left.
- A&T missed a layup moments later and Braxton drained an open three in transition with 51 seconds left to give Northeastern a 56-55 lead.
- After a timeout, the Aggies were fouled and split a pair of free throws, with junior Deja Bristol collecting a crucial rebound, and calling timeout with 22 seconds left.
- The Huskies couldn't get a shot off before the buzzer and the game went into OT.
- Erdogan made a three early in the OT to put NU up 59-58, but fouled out moments later, and the Aggies went on a 7-0 run over the next two next two minutes.
- Junior Halle Idowu ended the scoreless streak with a put-back layup with 22 seconds left to cut the A&T lead to 65-61.
- Webb would then steal the ensuing inbound pass, and get the layup to cut the deficit to 65-63 with 17.3 seconds left, but ultimately the Aggies tallied two crucial free throws to seal the win.
The Huskies continue their North Carolina weekend road trip at Elon on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 pm.
