BOSTON – Drexel (10-8, 4-2) put four players in double-figures and used hot shooting in the first half to open up an early lead and never looked back, topping the Northeastern men's basketball team (6-10, 2-3) on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena, 76-55.

Masai Troutman led the Huskies with 12 points on 2-of-6 shooting, including a 7-of-8 day from the line for a Northeastern team that finished 18-of-47 overall and 3-of-7 from three.
Jahmyl Telfort added 10 points and a team-high six rebounds.

Amari Williams and Garfield Turner had 12 points apiece to pace the Dragons, who were 29-of-58 from the field and 8-of-18 from long range. Lamar Oden Jr. and Justin Moore also reached double figures with 10 points each

• The Dragons went 7-of-12 from three and used an 18-2 run over nearly six minutes to take command of the game early before heading into the break up 44-28. Drexel received contributions from up and down the lineup, led by seven points and five assists from Jamie Bergens over the opening 20 minutes.

• Troutman led the way for Northeastern in the opening half with seven points for a Huskies squad that was 11-of-24 overall and 2-of-4 from deep after being forced to play most of the half without
Chris Doherty after picking up a pair of fouls early.

• It was more of the same in the second half, with Drexel going on a 9-0 run over 3:21 to increase its lead to 20 to remain in control the rest of the way. Â
