BOSTON— Down by as many as 16 points, the Northeastern men's basketball team (7-10, 3-3 CAA) rallied back to defeat the Delaware Blue Hens (10-9, 2-4 CAA), 59-58.

The Huskies retook the lead with 4.9 seconds left on the clock off a
Jahmyl Telfort jumper from the elbow and never looked back to claim a conference victory. The lead was the Huskies' first since the 16:51 mark of the first half.

Two Huskies posted their first double-doubles of the season in
Chris Doherty and
Joe Pridgen. Doherty led all Huskies with 15 points and chipped in 13 rebounds. Pridgen had a career-high 14 rebounds to go along with 14 points in his first career start as a Husky. Telfort also had 14 points for the Huskies, while
Coleman Stucke had three, three-pointers.
- The Huskies went into halftime down 34-22. Delaware went 5-of-8 from three to create separation and had three players that posted eight points in the opening 20.
- Doherty led the way for the Huskies in the first half with seven points, while Pridgen had seven rebounds.
- In the second half, Coleman Stucke hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the Delaware lead to eight. Northeastern then continued to mount its comeback, coming within five points of the Blue Hens with the score at 46-41 and just under 10 to play. A three-pointer from Telfort brought the Huskies back within two with the score at 48-46.
- After a back-and-forth, the Husky comeback continued with 1:01 left on the clock, Stucke hit his third three of the game to once again bring Northeastern within two with the score at 56-54.
- Northeastern closed the game on a 5-0 run that started with Pridgen hitting a three with 14 seconds to go and finished Telfort hitting the dagger with 4.9 seconds left to bring the final score to 59-58.
The Huskies will next travel to Stony Brook on Thursday, Jan. 19 for a 7 p.m. tip.
