Northeastern Heads To Stony Brook Thursday

BOSTON – Coming off a thrilling come-from-behind victory on Monday, the Northeastern men's basketball team will look to keep momentum going when the Huskies head to Stony Brook for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Thursday night on FloHoops.

1. THE SERIES WITH STONY BROOK
The Huskies and Seawolves are meeting for the 14th time in series history, and second time this season. The series is tied, 7-7, including a 65-61 win for the Seawolves earlier this season. Jahmyl Telfort had a team-high 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting in the December 31 meeting in Boston.

2. YOUR REBOUNDING IS OFFENSIVE
Northeastern pulled down a season-high 20 offensive rebounds on Jan. 16 vs. Delaware. It's just the third time since the 2011-12 season that the Huskies recorded at least 20 offensive boards.

The Huskies have outrebounded their opponent in eight of the last 10 games, and 10 times overall this season. Northeastern is 116th in the NCAA, and third in the CAA, averaging 36.9 rebounds per game.

3. CLOSING THE GAP
The Huskies trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half against Delaware on Jan. 16 before storming back to win, 59-58. It marked the first time since Dec. 3, 2021 vs. Colgate that NU trailed by at least 15 points and came back to win the game.

It's also the second time this season (Dec. 10 vs. Holy Cross) that Northeastern overcame a 10+ point deficit to win.
