BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (8-8, 3-2 CAA) is set to hit the road to take on Hofstra (8-9, 2-4 CAA) on Sunday, January 22 at 2 pm. The game will stream on FloHoops.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – Graduate student JaMiya Braxton scored 19 of her career-high 21 points in the first half as the Huskies took down Elon, 69-51, on Sunday at the Schar Center. Junior Derin Erdogan and freshman Ariana Webb also tallied double-digits for Northeastern. Erdogan had 11 points, five rebounds and dished out two assists. Webb notched 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
- WEBB EARNS WEEKLY HONORS - Webb was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday. The Hayward, California native had double-digits against Elon, and also notched 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals against North Carolina A&T. It is the first time during her freshman season she has reached double-figures in back-to-back games, and her third double-digit scoring output this year.
- HEATING UP - Braxton has tallied double-digit points in the past three contests for the Huskies. The graduate student has been stellar from long range, and has at least four three pointers during the stretch.
After Hofstra, the Huskies will host Towson for National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Friday, January 27. Tip-off is slated for 7 pm.
