BOSTON – The Northeastern track and field program wrapped up competition with the men in the Terrier Classic at Boston University and the women in the Riverhawk Invitational at the Track at New Balance.
Sophomore
Reed Cherry set the Northeastern School Record in the 800m, with a time of 1:47.84 to finish second in the event in his first action on the track this year. The time is the fastest in the CAA this season.
Senior
Matthew Schaefer ran a time of 8:05.47 to claim the Northeastern school record in the 3000m, taking the top time in the CAA in the event this season as well.
Women – (Riverhawk Invitational)
- Claire Danyluk started the day for the Huskies in the 500m, running a time of 1:18.20 to finish fourth in the event.
- In the 800m, Lucy Abdow recorded a personal-best time of 2:15.35 to finish third in the race.
- The Huskies had three athletes in the 200m, Abigail Thomas (26.14), Kennedee Cox (27.44) and Natalee Barber (28.50).
- Ava Duggan raced to a first-place finish in the 3000m race by just under two seconds, at 10:02.80. The time was a personal best for Duggan by 15 seconds.
- The quartet of Danyluk, Thomas, Barber, and Anna Davis finished sixth in the 1600m relay with a time of 3:59.72.
Men – (John Thomas Terrier Classic)
The Huskies will return to competition tomorrow, this time the women will be at the Terrier Classic and the men will be at the Riverhawk Invitational.
