Huskies Wrap Up at Riverhawk Invitational, Terrier Classic

BOSTON – The Northeastern track and field program closed out the weekend with the men at the Riverhawk Invitational and the women at the Terrier Classic.
 
Women – (John Thomas Terrier Classic)
  • Ava Duggan started the action for the Huskies in the 800m, finishing in 2:13.76.
  • Lucy Abdow set a personal best in the 1-mile run, finishing in 4:56.53 and first in the fifth heat.
  • Abigail Hassman finished sixth in the 5000m with a time of 9:30.45.
  • In the 5000m, Azza Borovicka-Swanson finished at 16:55.22, a personal best.
  • Gianna Rao finished first in the weight throw with a mark of 19.95m.
 
Men – (Riverhawk Invitational)
  • Cory Gathier finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.14, the time is tied for ninth all-time in Northeastern history.
  • Pierre Sylvain finished eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 49.97.
  • Astor Meredith-Goujon (1:07.11) and Paul Wisnaskas (1:10.17) competed in the 500m.
  • James Pothier finished second in the 1000m with a personal best time of 2:27.44. Following behind, Anders Narita finished fifth at 2:29.04.
  • Noah Sweeney finished sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.89. Nii Yarboi Yartey (22.51) and Caleb Burns (22.91) followed behind.
  • Noah Mooney recorded a personal best in the 5000m, clocking in at 14:38.83 to finish second, while Cyrus Kurd finished in seventh at 15:06.36.
 
The Huskies will return to competition next weekend (Feb. 3-4) for the Harvard Crimson Invitational and the Brue Lehane Inivitational.
