BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team will welcome the CAA-leading Towson Tigers to the friendly confines of Parsons Field on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. The Huskies will be hosting their Pride game against the Tigers on Sunday.
A fan bus will leave from Forsyth Street at 11:30 a.m. ahead of Sunday's game. Early arriving fans will also receive a free Pride t-shirt at the match.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- RE-REWIND: The Huskies are coming off two big CAA wins, defeating Charleston 2-0 at home and then winning 1-0 at Towson. Northeastern currently sits in fourth place in the CAA standings, with a 5-1-3 record in conference. The top-six seeds make it into the CAA Championship.
- WEEKLY HONOREES: Jessie Hunt and Holland Stam each earned weekly CAA honors, with Hunt being named the Offensive Player of the Week and Stam claiming Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Hunt posted back-to-back game-winning goals for the Huskies, while Stam had two straight shutouts against Charleston and Monmouth. Hunt was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week for her performance.
- SCOUTING THE TIGERS: Towson comes to Parsons Field with an undefeated record in CAA play (7-0-2). The Tigers have already clinched a postseason berth and are riding a nine-match unbeaten streak. Towson has the three top goal scorers in the league in Jasmine Hamid (11), Nia Christopher (10) and Phoebe Canoles (7). Northeastern owns a 12-8-3 overall record against the Tigers. Towson has not defeated Northeastern since the 2010 season, and the two teams played to a 0-0 tie in their last meeting in 2022.
Northeastern will host its final regular season home contest against Stony Brook on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
