RICHMOND, Va.— For the second week in a row, graduate student goalkeeper
Holland Stam of the Northeastern women's soccer team was named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Defensive Player of the Week as announced on Monday.

Stam made six saves to guide the Huskies to a 1-0 victory over the Towson Tigers and clinch a 13th straight appearance in the CAA Tournament. The Ipswich, Massachusetts native posted her third straight shutout over the Tigers, holding off three of the CAA's top scorers.

Stam's shutout helped the Huskies snap a nine-game winning streak for the previously undefeated in league play Tigers.

Stam and the Huskies are back in action for their final regular season home game against the Stony Brook Seawolves on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
