Northeastern Hosts Rutgers, Heads to Merrimack

BOSTON - The Northeastern University Men's Soccer team (3-6-5) hosts a first-time opponent this Saturday, October 21 before a quick in-state road trip next Tuesday, October 24. The Huskies host Rutgers (5-6-2) at Parsons Field for Alumni Day this Saturday, and then travel up to North Andover on Tuesday to face Merrimack (4-5-2). Saturday's game will stream on FloFC and NESN+, while Tuesday's game will stream on NEC Front Row.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

  1. MEET THE SCARLET KNIGHTS: Northeastern faces Rutgers for the first time in program history - the Scarlet Knights come into the weekend on a two-game Big 10 winning streak at home. Overall, Rutgers is 5-6-2 on the season.
  2. WEEKDAY WARRIORS: The Huskies will face the Merrimack Warriors for the first time since 2021, with their Tuesday evening match up in North Andover. Merrimack owns the all-time advantage in the matchup with a 6-3-1 record when facing the Huskies. Northeastern got the upper hand, though, in the teams' last meeting in North Andover with a 2-1 victory two seasons ago.
  3. THE HOME STRETCH: Two of Northeastern's final three games of the regular season will take place at Parsons Field in Brookline. After hosting Rutgers Saturday, and traveling to Merrimack next Tuesday, the Huskies host the regular season finale with Hofstra next Saturday, October 28 at 6 p.m.
