BOSTON – The Northeastern men's rowing second varsity boat won its race at the Head of the Charles, and the first varsity boat finished fourth in a tight race to highlight strong performances at the regatta on Sunday.

• The Northeastern second varsity boat in the championship eight, stroked by Cameron MacGillivray, finished first among junior varsity boats with a time of 14:52.639, and ahead of Navy's A boat (14:56.157). The victory marked the Huskies' first win in that event since 2014. 
• Stroked by graduate student Alexander Abuhoff, Northeastern's first varsity boat had a stellar performance in the championship eight, finishing fourth collegiately (sixth overall) with a time of 14.36.712. The Huskies finished just behind Yale (14:35.543), and ahead of tough opponents in Brown, Washington, Dartmouth, Penn, and Syracuse.
• In the club 8+ race on Saturday, Northeastern's third varsity and fourth varsity boats also had top five finishes. Stroked by Paul Phillips, the third varsity finished with a time of 14:32.828 and stroked by Riley Putnam, Northeastern's fourth varsity boat finished with a time of 15:06.898.

The Huskies will close out their fall slate with the Foot of the Charles on November 11.
