Boston, Mass. -- Former Northeastern rower, Kady Glessner, was inducted into the 2023 US Rowing Hall of Fame this past weekend at the 2023 Head of the Charles Regatta. Glessner is the first Northeastern alum to be inducted.
Glessner is a two-time gold medal winner in the eight at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships.

In 2009, she won gold in the eight at the USRowing National Championships and internationally, Glessner won gold in the eight at the World Rowing Championships and finished second in the eight at the Rowing World Cup stop in Lucerne. A year later, in 2010, Glessner claimed a gold medal in the eight at the World Rowing Championships and also captured gold in the eight at the Rowing World Cup stop in Lucerne.

Glessner rowed for the Northeastern varsity from 2005 to 2007, where she was named a two-time All-American (2006, 2007), in addition to earning Second-Team All-New England honors in 2005.
The native of Seattle, Wash. led Northeastern to a pair of eighth place finishes and a sixth-place finish at the Eastern Sprints. She earned the school's Outstanding Varsity Oarswoman award in both 2006 and 2007 and was inducted into the Northeastern Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.
During her tenure, she helped the women's program reach the finals of the Eastern Sprints, in 2014, for the third straight season. At the conclusion of the season, the Huskies claimed their fourth CAA title. The Huskies swept all three races to propel themselves into the NCAA championships for the first time since 2000.
