BOSTON— The No. 13 Northeastern women's hockey team will face the Holy Cross Crusaders in a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in Matthews Arena. The series will then head to the Hart Center Rink on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. Both games will stream live on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. SKY'S THE LIMIT: Junior Skylar Irving earned Hockey East Player of the Week honors after posting a career-high four points in a 4-1 victory at Sacred Heart. Irving has 10 points on the season, which leads all Huskies and is second among Hockey East players. Her nine assists lead all Hockey East players and rank tied for sixth in the NCAA.
  2. LOCK IT DOWN: The Huskies are second in the nation in team shutouts with four, all coming from fifth year goaltender Gwyneth Philips. The Huskies rank second in scoring defense (.78) and team goals against average (.78). Northeastern's penalty killing unit has yet to give up a power-play goal and has held opponents from scoring 32 times.
  3. PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS: Northeastern and Holy Cross are set to open the three-game Hockey East series on Friday, Oct. 27 in Matthews Arena. The Huskies owned a 3-0-0 record against HC last season and are riding a 12-game winning streak. In three games against the Crusaders last season, graduate student Peyton Anderson is the highest returning scorer for the Huskies, with three points on two goals and one assist. Philips posted all three wins in goal last year with a 1.01 GAA and .951 save percentage. Through six games, Holy Cross has played to extra time in five of them. The Crusaders are coming off a 2-2 tie and shootout win over Boston College.
Northeastern will next face Connecticut for a two-game series beginning on Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. in Matthews Arena. The game will be the Huskies' Barbie Land theme game.
