Huskies Wrap Up Day One Of The 2023-24 Season At Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Northeastern Huskies swimming and diving team opened the season with six events Friday night at the Rutgers Pre-Season Tune-Up in the Rutgers Aquatics Center. The Huskies competed with Delaware, Army, Rutgers and Harvard.
  • Sophomore Kotoko Blair championed the 50 Free with a time of 23.91, beating out the next best competitor by .18 seconds. May Bradburn earned a top-10 finish as well, coming in fifth with a time of 24.31.
  • Northeastern finished fourth in the 400 Medley Relay, as the quartet of sophomore Anna Verlander, sophomore Marcela Scaramuzza, junior Hannah Seward and Blair touched the wall at 3:53.85.
  • The Huskies' quartet of senior Jamie Koo, freshman May Bradburn, freshman Mary Nordmann and sophomore Blair Kotoko took home second place in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:35.89.
  • Seward earned a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.86.
  • Senior Lizzie Meschisen was the highest-scoring diver on the 1M Dive, scoring a 214.20.
The Huskies return to action Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. as they finish up their first meet of the season at the Rutgers Aquatics Center.
