BOSTON — Coming off a dual meet win over UConn, the Northeastern Huskies swim and dive team heads to the Terrier Invitational, hosted by Boston University at the FitRec Competition Pool on BU's campus from Friday, Nov. 17 to Sunday, Nov. 19. The Huskies will be facing off with the Terriers, Fairfield, UMass and Bryant as they look to build on a win, with preliminaries each day at 10 a.m. and finals taking place at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 5 p.m. Sunday.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- KOO, CALM, COLLECTED — Senior Jamie Koo picked up two individual wins at the Huskies' 165-133 dual meet victory over UConn Saturday, Nov. 4, championing the 50 Free with a time off 23.32 and the 100 Fly with a time of 55.90, both her best marks of the year thus far. Koo currently holds the program record in both the 50 Free and 100 Fly.
- MUUUUURPH! — Junior diver Erin Murphy waltzed away with CAA Diver of the Week honors Nov. 7 after her performance against UConn. Murphy's score of 262.13 in the 1M Dive tied her for the top spot, earning 6.5 points to put toward the Huskies' score. From the 3-meter board, the Duxbury, Mass. native posted a score of 263.78, adding four points for the Huskies with her second-place finish.
- IN TERRIER TERRITORY — Last season, the Huskies pulled out a second-place finish at this meet, accumulating 1,187 points to best Georgetown, BU, UMass and Fairfield while falling to Boston College. Koo won the 50 Free with a school-record time of 22.98 seconds, the Huskies took home a win in the 400 Medley Relay and Hannah Seward won the 100 Fly.
Following this weekend's action, the Huskies will host the University of New Hampshire Saturday, Dec. 9 at 12 p.m. in Barletta Natatorium. That meet will be streaming on FloSports.
