GREENVILLE, N.C. – With the score tied at 77, a jumper from Demond Robinson at the buzzer gave Kennesaw State (4-1) the last-second victory over the Northeastern men's basketball team (2-3) on Monday afternoon at Williams Arena, 79-77.

Masai Troutman (15 points) also finished in double figures for a Huskies team that went 24-of-48 overall and 27-of-34 from the stripe.
Â
In a game that saw eight ties and 10 lead changes, Northeastern was held without a field goal over the final 3:15 of regulation and was forced into 22 turnovers on the afternoon, including one with three seconds remaining to setup the game-winning bucket.
Â
Robinson led three Owls in double figures with 15 points, while Terrell Burden had 22 on 9-of-13 from the floor as KSU finished the day 45% overall and 14-of-17 at the line.
Â
It was a track meet from the jump, with both teams shooting over 50% in the opening half before Kennesaw State took a one-point lead into the locker room, 43-42.
Â
Troutman was the story for the Huskies early, scoring all nine of his first half points in the first 10 minutes before Sakota got it going late, finishing with 13 points to lead a Huskies squad that shot 14-of-27 overall and 12-of-17 from the line.

Â
NU came out flying out of the break, opening on a 10-3 run to prompt an early Kennesaw State timeout with Northeastern leading, 52-46.
Â
That was the largest lead either team would hold the rest of the way as the Owls chipped away at the gap before leveling the game at 77 with less than 30 seconds to play to setup the wild ending.
Â
The Huskies will close out tournament action on Tuesday afternoon when Northeastern takes on Georgia Southern at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
