Northeastern Ready For Battle With No. 1 Boston College

BOSTON -- The Northeastern Huskies are back for another Hockey East home-and-home series this weekend. Northeastern will travel to face the Boston College Eagles at Conte Forum on Friday, Dec. 1, before coming back home on Saturday, Dec. 2 for game two.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

EAGLE HUNTING: The two programs faced off in four contests during the 2022-23 season, including one non-conference matchup. Sophomore Cam Lund led the team in scoring against the Eagles last year with five points that included a hat trick and two assists. Junior Gunnarwolfe Fontaine and sophomore Jack Williams each tallied four points (1g, 3a) across the four matchups.
WHERE THERE IS A WILL(IAMS), THERE'S A WAY: Sophomore Jack Williams had a stellar weekend, tallying six points across the two games. He recorded a career-high four points on Sunday evening from two goals and two assists, in addition to his two goals the previous night. The last Huskies to tally a four-point night were Justin Hryckowian (3-1-4) and Aidan McDonough (1-3-4) against New Hampshire last season (Nov. 4, 2022). The Maine native finished the weekend with a plus-four rating. He went 16-for-24 in the faceoff circle, while adding two blocks and nine shots on goal. In addition to earning the second league honor of his career, Williams ranks third among all NU skaters with nine points from five goals and four assists.
SEASON FIRSTS: Three Northeastern skaters saw season firsts in the team's 9-2 victory over the RPI. Freshman defenseman Nolan Hayes tallied his first career point en route to a two-assist evening, while freshman forward Eli Sebastian collected an assist on a Husky power-play goal for his first collegiate point. Junior Matt Choupani tacked on his first goal of the season to put the Huskies up 2-0 on Sunday evening. The forward finished with three points from one goal and two assists on the night.
