Northeastern Set For Vermont Wednesday At Matthews Arena

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team returns to Matthews Arena for its final home game before the holiday break when the Huskies host Vermont on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (NESN and FloHoops).

1. SERIES HISTORY VS. VERMONT
Northeastern and Vermont are meeting for the first time since 2018, and first time in Boston since 2017. NU has won three of the last four meetings and leads the all-time series, 44-29, with each of the last three meetings decided by five points or less.

2. FROM THE STRIPE
The Huskies set school records in both free throws made (40) and free throw attempts (51) in Saturday's win over Old Dominion. Northeastern is the only school in the country to make 40 free throws in a game this season, and one of six schools to do so since the 2020-21 season. The 40 made free throws are also the seventh most in CAA history.

As a team, Northeastern is 33rd in the nation and leads the CAA making an average of 17.8 FTs per game, and 64th in the nation in FT% (74.4). The Huskies went 324-of-473 (68.5%) from the line last season.

3. DOUBLE DIGIT DOGS
The Huskies have seen at least four players score 10+ points six times in nine games early in the year. Last season, Northeastern had four players reach double figures in a game just four times. The Nov. 19 game at East Carolina saw Northeastern put five players in double figures for the first time since Dec. 3, 2021 vs. Colgate, and have done it three since (vs. Georgia Southern, at Seton Hall, vs. Old Dominion)
