Huskies Slated For Single Game With Brown

BOSTON -- The Northeastern Huskies will head into the holiday break following a standalone game with Brown University on Saturday, Dec. 9. Saturday's game will be the first time the two programs have faced off in 16 seasons.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. IT'S SOUP SEASON: With a goal in Saturday night's game against BC, senior Alex Campbell has now tallied at least one point in three consecutive games. Campbell holds the longest active point streak for the Huskies with four points in three games (3g, 1a). The transfer from Clarkson is currently tied for first in scoring among all NU skaters with sophomore Cam Lund. Both forwards have 13 points on the year from six goals and seven assists.
  2. HOCKEY EAST HUSKIES: Four Huskies currently find themselves ranked among the top-10 in Hockey East for various statistics. Cameron Whitehead ranks fourth with 213 league saves, Gunnarwolfe Fontaine is tied for fifth with two power-play goals and Cam Lund is tied for eighth with four goals. Nolan Hayes and Pito Walton both sit among the top-10 for blocks with 15 (T-7th) and 14 (T-10th) respectively.

  3. 1 TO 100: Three Northeastern skaters marked career or season firsts, while one Husky hit the century mark en route to a 5-3 victory against No. 1 Boston College last Friday. Junior Braden Doyle added his first goal of the season to open scoring against BC, while freshman Billy Norcross tallied his first career point with the primary assist on Doyle's goal. Graduate transfer Matthew Staudacher scored his first goal in the Northeastern sweater to put the Huskies up 3-0 after the first period. Graduate transfer Pito Walton laced up for his 100th career game, becoming the fourth Husky to hit the milestone this season. Walton also tallied an assist on the night as well.
