Huskies Break Two School Records, Medal Four Times on Second Day of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – The Northeastern swimming and diving program enjoyed a successful second day at the CAA Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
 
The Huskies earned four medals to launch themselves into second place after two days of competition.
 
Junior Jamie Koo won the 50 free title and a gold medal with a time of 22.21 in the event. Koo also broke the CAA meet record and the Northeastern school record in the process.
 
The 400-yard medley relay team of Anna Verlander, Marcela Scaramuzza, Koo, and Kira Parker earned a bronze medal and broke the Northeastern school record, posting a time of 3:38.78.
 
In the 3M dive, Erin Murphy claimed a silver medal with a score of 289.25. Lauren O'Sullivan earned the bronze medal with a score of 276.40.
 
  • In the A final of the 500 free, Grace Miller finished fourth with a season-best time of 4:53.96. In the B final, Anna Verlander came in at 5:04.85.
  • Devon Muldoon finished fifth in the 200 IM at a season-best time of 2:02.30. Hannah Seward finished in the B final at 2:04.38.
  • Jodi Au finished in the 3M dive A final with a score of 242.25. Anelise Kim posted a score of 221.75 in the B final.
 
The Huskies will be back tomorrow for the third day of the CAA Championships.
