- Motema corralled the opening tip, and got a layup just seconds into the contest.
- Both teams struggled to score after that, as it remained 2-2 for three minutes, but an Erdogan three in transition with 6:01 remaining started a run of scoring for both teams, that concluded with a three-point play by junior Deja Bristol with 4:44 left to give the Huskies a 10-9 lead.

- The hosts scored 11 points off seven Northeastern turnovers in the first quarter, which offset the 11-9 rebounding advantage held by NU.
- The Huskies came out firing in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to 22-18 just 1:55 in.Â
- Northeastern continued its run to open the frame and would use a quick 6-0 run to tie the game at 24 after a Jaelyn Batts fastbreak layup with 6:11 left.
- After the teams traded baskets for the next few minutes, Erdogan hit a three off an offensive board by Batts to put the Huskies up 33-32, and then 50 seconds later, sophomore Asha Parker collected an offensive board and put it back in to extend the lead to 35-32.
- The teams would then trade free throws as Northeastern went into the half up 37-34.
- The Huskies held a 26-15 rebounding edge in the first half, including a 12-6 advantage on the offensive glass.
- Erdogan and Motema paced NU with eight points each in the first half, while Parker had six points and six rebounds.
- The Blue Hens hit a pair of threes to open the second half, but Motema and Batts answered with layups each time to keep Northeastern ahead.
- The Huskies pushed ahead by three again, but Delaware hit another three to tie the game up at 45.
- After a Motema layup to give Northeastern a 47-45 lead with 6:17 left, Delaware went on an 18-7 run to close the quarter and take 63-54 advantage into the fourth.
- The Blue Hens outscored NU, 29-17, in the third thanks to 12-of-17 shooting overall and going 4-of-6 from three.
- Motema would open the scoring in the fourth with a jumper, but Delaware would score the next six to take a game-high 13 point lead at 69-56 with 7:28 left.
- Northeastern scored the next four points to cut the deficit to 69-60, but the hosts quickly hit another three to push the lead back to double-digits.
- The teams both struggled from the field from that point on, but Delaware kept NU at bay to walk away with the victory.
- The Huskies held a 46-31 advantage on the boards and a 22-10 edge on second-chance points and held a 40-38 advantage on points in the paint.
- The Blue Hens bench outscored NU's 37-12 and shot 16-of-31 from the field, including 5-of-8 from three.
