BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team returns to the national airwaves on Wednesday night when the Huskies host Hofstra on CBSSN. Tip-off from Matthews Arena is set for 6 p.m. and tickets are available by visiting NUHuskies.com/tickets.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. THE SERIES WITH HOFSTRA
The Huskies and Pride are meeting for the 54th time in series history, and first time this season. Hofstra holds a 28-25 advantage in the series as NU looks to avenge a sweep last season.
2. CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Jahmyl Telfort's 20 points last Saturday vs. Elon moved the junior into 46th on Northeastern's all-time scoring list with 958 points. He's just the 15th player in program history to crack the top-50 in scoring in three seasons or less, and is 42 points away from becoming the 41st player in team history to reach 1000 career points.
3. MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Chris Doherty is averaging 9.8 ppg and 6.3 rpg overall and 10.9 ppg and 7.0 rpg in league play this season, including a season-high 22 points on Feb. 4 vs. Elon. He has three double-doubles in his last six games, good for a tie for seventh in the CAA. He's also averaging 12.7 points per game and shooting 60% from the field in his last three games.
