BOSTON— After winning its sixth-straight Hockey East Championship, the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team was awarded the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 2 Yale to face the fourth-seeded Bulldogs on Saturday, March 11 at 3 p.m. in Ingalls Rink.

The Huskies downed No. 14 Providence 4-1 in the Hockey East Championship game to claim their sixth-straight title and earn Hockey East's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. This marks the seventh time overall Northeastern has earned a berth into the NCAA tournament, and sixth straight appearance for the Huskies.

Northeastern enters the NCAA Tournament on a 21-game winning streak that includes winning a Hockey East Regular Season title, Beanpot trophy and Hockey East Tournament title.

The winner of the New Haven Regional will advance to the 2023 NCAA Women's Frozen Four on March 17 and 19 at Minnesota Duluth's AMSOIL Arena.
