Huskies Close Out Weekend at UConn Northeast Challenge

STORRS, Conn. – The Northeastern track and field program closed out competition today at the UConn Northeast Challenge in Storrs, Conn.

Women:

Kennedee Cox continued in the heptathlon, starting with a fourth-place finish in the long jump at 5.49m. She followed with a 28.91m mark in the javelin throw to finish fifth and ended the day at 2:27.75 with another fourth-place finish in the 800m.
Dominique Biron took a first-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.78 and the second-best time in Northeastern history. She also finished second in the long jump (6.07m) fourth in the 100m hurdles (13.97) and ninth in the high jump (1.60m).
Leila Curtis (12.98m) finished 14th and Madeleine DuChaussee (12.94m) finished 15th in the shot put.

Men:

In the 100m, Noah Sweeney finished seventh with a time of 10.36.
Savion Thompson finished eighth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.69, as well as 15th in the triple jump at 12.43m.
Paul Wisnaskas finished 17th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.54.
Ethan Exilhomme, Phillips Magre, Noah Sweeney and Nii Yarboi Yartey finished seventh with a time of 41.26 in the 4x100m relay.
In the 800m, Ryan Dailor led the way for the Huskies with an eighth-place finish at 1:52.69. Nicholas Young finished in tenth at 1:52.98 and Anders Narita came in at 1:53.46.
John Lung finished 11th in the high jump at 1.93m. While Nicholas Pisciotta finished fourth in the hammer throw at 61.91m.
In the 400m hurdles, Caleb Burns finished 19th at 57.17.
Max Zuckerman (4.62m) and Athanasios Pantazopoulos (4.47m) finished seventh and ninth respectively in the pole vault.

The Huskies will be back for the first home meet of the season on Sat. April 22 in Dedham, Mass.
