Huskies Close Out Weekend at UConn Northeast Challenge


STORRS, Conn. – The Northeastern track and field program closed out competition today at the UConn Northeast Challenge in Storrs, Conn.
 
Women:
  • Kennedee Cox continued in the heptathlon, starting with a fourth-place finish in the long jump at 5.49m. She followed with a 28.91m mark in the javelin throw to finish fifth and ended the day at 2:27.75 with another fourth-place finish in the 800m.
  • Dominique Biron took a first-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.78 and the second-best time in Northeastern history. She also finished second in the long jump (6.07m) fourth in the 100m hurdles (13.97) and ninth in the high jump (1.60m).
  • Leila Curtis (12.98m) finished 14th and Madeleine DuChaussee (12.94m) finished 15th in the shot put.
Men:  
The Huskies will be back for the first home meet of the season on Sat. April 22 in Dedham, Mass.
