Biron Breaks Own School Record, Huskies Close Out at Virginia Challenge and Wake Forest Invitational

BOSTON – Northeastern senior Dominique Biron broke her own Northeastern school record in the heptathlon with a score of 5,485 at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va. While the distance runners competed at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Virginia Challenge:

Biron finished fourth in the event, taking second place in the 100m hurdles (13.86), seventh in the high jump (1.64m), fourth in the shot put (11.98m), second in the 200m (24.60), eighth in the long jump (5.71m) and the javelin throw (31.40m), and fifth in the 800m (2:17.69).

Wake Forest Invitational:

In the women's 1500m, Ava Duggan finished seventh at 4:30.96, while Abigail Hassman finished at 16:19.29 in the women's 5000m.
Patrick Cullen finished ninth in the men's 10000m with a time of 30.19.42 and Matthew Schaefer finished at 14:30.34 in the men's 5000m.
