RICHMOND, Va. – Northeastern senior
Dominique Biron was named CAA Co-Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced today.
For Biron, this is her second time this season being named the conference field athlete of the week.
At the Virginia Challenge this past weekend, the senior finished fourth in the heptathlon and broke her own Northeastern school record in the event with a score of 5,485. The score is the best in the CAA by over 600 points, 11th in the NCAA East Region and 23rd in the country.
Throughout the event, Biron set three personal bests with a 13.86 in the 100m hurdles, 24.60 in the 200m dash and 2:17.69 in the 800m. She also competed in the shot put (11.38m), javelin throw (31.40m), long jump (5.71m) and high jump (1.64m).
Biron and the Huskies will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Penn Relays this weekend, April 27-29, in the final event before the CAA Championships.
