JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Northeastern men's track and field program closed out competition at the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary Round tonight at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
Sophomore
Ethan Exilhomme qualified in the 110m hurdles for the NCAA National Championships. Exilhomme finished third in his heat and fourth overall to earn the automatic qualification with a time of 13.55. He is the first CAA athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event since 2004 (UNCW's Josh Parks qualified in the following heat).
Sophomore
Kyle Sarney competed in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing 33rd at 9:06.17.
Graduate student
Cory Gathier finished just on the edge on qualification in 14th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.51.
Closing out the week for Northeastern, sophomore
Benjamin Godish came across the finish line at 14:23.37 and in 36th place.
Exilhomme will compete in the NCAA National Championships in Austin, Texas from June 7-10.
